Sweden reiterates support for Moldova to carry out democratic changes, modernise country

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today met Ambassador of Sweden to Moldova Signe Burgstaller, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The discussions were focused on subjects dealing with the present state and prospects for the Moldovan-Swedish partnership, promotion of political dialogue, extending the commercial and economic cooperation. Minister Andrei Galbur reiterated the advanced level of the Moldovan-Swedish bilateral cooperation and thanked the government of Sweden for the constant political support and substantial technical and financial assistance for promoting domestic reforms.
For her part, the Swedish diplomat highlighted the importance of a punctual implementation of the Association Agreement with EU. Signe Burgstaller reconfirmed the support provided by the government of Sweden to carry out the democratic transformations and modernize Moldova, and underlined the need to strengthen the cooperation within the Eastern Partnership.
