Moldovan political parties are to unveil financial reports for 2015

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today informed that 31 March 2016 was the deadline for submitting the annual report on political parties’ financial management for 2015.
According to CEC’s press service, the reports are to be presented to the Commission, in line with the model provided for in the regulation on the financing of political parties. Subsequently, these reports “will be made public on the webpage of the Central Electoral Commission.”
CEC notes that “once the amendments made to the law on political parties enter into force, there will be no longer need to present financial reports to the Justice Ministry.”
Only ten out of 43 political registered parties have submitted financial reports so far. It is about the Party of Communists, Liberal Party, Political Party Our House Moldova, Political Party Anti-mafia Movement, National Liberal Party, Popular Socialist Party of Moldova, Popular Democratic Party of Moldova, Political Party People’s Force, Political Party Democracy at Home and European People’s Party of Moldova.
