Moldovan, Estonian foreign ministers discuss cooperation, reforms agenda

Chisinau, 13 April A/.MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur, on an official visit to Estonia, today had a meeting with Estonian Foreign Minister Marina Kaljurand, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The two ministers considered opportunities of boosting the bilateral political dialogue and cooperation in the commercial and economic sectors, including within development assistance programmes. In this context, the sides reconfirmed mutual willingness to further promote projects underway in Moldova in such areas as e-governance, transfer of experience in the health system, rural development, etc.
The ministers exchanged opinions on the agenda of reforms and country modernisation, provided for in the Association Agreement with the European Union, Transnistrian conflict settlement process, as well as on up-to-date subjects on the international agenda, in particular, concerning the regional crises and challenges to security.
It is worth mentioning that the head of the Moldovan diplomacy, Andrei Galbur, is on a 13-14 April official visit to Estonia, at an invitation by his Estonian counterpart Marina Kaljurand. The visit’s agenda includes meetings with Foreign Minister Marina Kaljurand, Parliament Speaker Eiki Nestor and Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas. Minister Andrei Galbur will hold a public conference on the enforcement of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement at the Tallinn-based Centre of Eastern Partnership.
