Liberal-Democrat MP expelled from faction

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/- MP Valeriu Ghiletci was expelled from the parliamentary faction of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM). An announcement to this effect was made by Liberal-Democrat MP Angel Agache at the beginning of the parliament’s meeting today.
According to him, “PLDM’s faction decided to expel Ghiletchi because he did not observe the decisions of the party,” Agache said.
“I regret being expelled from the faction. I will have to accept the decision of my colleagues and I apologize if I did something wrong,” Ghiletchi said.
During the parliament’s last week meeting, MP Valeriu Ghiletchi voted for the removal of Liberal Democrat MP Liliana Palihovici from the delegation of the Moldovan parliament to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Ghiletchi was also one of the Liberal-Democrat MPs who voted for the investiture of Filip’s government on 20 January 2016.
PLDM got 23 parliamentary mandates during the parliamentary elections held on 30 November 2014. Its faction has currently 11 MPs.
