Prime Minister Pavel Filip has a meeting with Afghanistan war veterans, at the government at 10:00.

A marathon titled, Kids Run Day by Nordic, takes place on the Great National Assembly Square. Children from the age categories 5-6 years, 7-9 years and 10-12 years participate in the race, which is free of charge. The event starts at 10:30.

The public association, Chernobyl Union of Moldova, organises a national football tournament, Memory Cup-1986, in the Buiucani district of Chisinau at 9:45.

The final stage of a municipal contest titled, Christian Personalities: Virtues and Holiness, is held at the headquarters Metropolitan See of Moldova, at 12:00.

The Ukrainian Women’s Community organises a Master Class of dyeing Easter eggs, at the Best Western Plus Flowers Hotel at 12:00.

Over 100 boxers from Moldova, including the left bank of Dniester and Gagauzia, Ukraine and Romania participate in the first issue of the International Boxing Tournament, Varnita Cup 2016, till 17 April. The event takes place at the Culture and Youth House from the Varnita village, Anenii Noi district.

The event is held at the city hall, National History Museum and National Art Museum on 18-19 April. .
The forum is to be opened with a ceremony of signing a bilateral agreement between Moldova and France in the patrimony sector on 18 April at 9:30.

Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Bundestag member Hans-Joachim Fuchtel inaugurates a kindergarten for disabled children, Orfeu, at a ceremony held nearby the Labour Institute at 14:30.

A book titled „Calea europeană a Republicii Moldova” (European Way of Moldova) coordinators Sorin Bocancea and Radu Carp, is launched in Chisinau at Writers’ Union House on 18 April at 17:40 and the in Balti at the multipurpose hall of the Alecu Russo University on 19 April at 13:00. The launch takes place in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Radu of Romania.

2. Guests and delegations in Moldova
Deputy Assistant Administrator Bureau for Europe and Eurasia at U.S. Agency for International Development Jonathan Katz pays a visit to Chisinau on 17-20 April.
