Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the beginning of a today’s meeting, congratulated the cabinet for the extraordinary result achieved in the process of negotiation with experts of the International Monetary Fund and agreeing on a Staff Level Agreement with the IMF. At the same time, the PM thanked those involved in discussions for the efforts made, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
“This is the first part; obviously, in continuation, we must work even more, as till the IMF Board, we have to fulfill the commitments taken; therefore, I think that, in the full sense, the reforms will be carried out in the second half of this year, so that they be felt,” Pavel Filip said.
At the meeting, the prime minister referred also to the successful passing through the motion of censure filed by the parliament’s opposition and possibility to continue achieving the goals set in the beginning of the mandate. The PM described the motion discussed today as a demagogical action, without constructive proposals to ensure a sustainable development of Moldova.
“We will go to discuss with lawmakers whenever necessary, even if we have very tight discussions, not only once a week, with the parliamentary majority. The today’s vote encourages us to further work more seriously than so far,” the PM added.
