Moldovan government approves foundation of joint stock company MoldFarm

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ – The Cabinet of Ministers approved at its today meeting, a decision on of joint stock company "MoldFarm" founding, where the Health Ministry will hold the role of originator. The newly organized joint stock company will work in the pharmaceutical sphere, namely purchase, import, storage, stock and marketing of medicines or medical devices, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

Creating of S.A. "MoldFarm" will give the state the opportunity to purchase medicines and medical products which are needed for medical institutions’ activity, at the price of manufacture, medicines avoiding supply crises and securing fair market competition. Also, by creating this society can be more easily controlled potential cartel of medicines to the market, i.e. private importers of medicines temptation to unduly increase their prices.

At the same time, it will ensure multi-annual storage of medicines in high security conditions for achieving a continuous stream to medical institutions of all products used to maintain life and health of served patients.
