Bust of Romanian King Ferdinand I to be set in Moldovan settlement

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ – The bust of King Ferdinand I of Romania will be reconstructed and built in Tepilova village, Soroca district, according to the project approved by the Culture Ministry. The Cabinet of Ministers took a decision on it at the meeting today, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
According to government decision, bust will be installed in square in front of cultural House of Tepilova village, Soroca district, while expenses for design, reconstruction and bust building will provide financial resources from donations and sponsorships.
The restoration and renovation of bust pedestal will be based on historic photographs, after which it will be built in the place where it was inaugurated in 1937, subsequently evacuated and destroyed in Soviet times.
Ferdinand was the king of Romania in 1914 – 1927. He led Romania during World War I and the Great Union, and in 1922 was crowned like the first king of Great Romania.
