Moldovan-Greek economic cooperation, scientific and technological commission meets in Athens

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ – Issues of bilateral cooperation between Moldova and Greece are examined in the Moldovan-Greek economic cooperation, scientific and technological Commission, which runs from 8 – 9 December in Athens.
The Economy Ministry’s communication and media relations department has reported that the commission started work with expert groups meeting that examined aspects of bilateral relations in the fields of agriculture, energy, tourism, industry, investment environment, cooperation in business etc.
Following the bilateral dialogue, co-Presidents of the Commission, Deputy Minister of Economy of Moldova Vitalie Iurcu and Alternate Minister for Foreign Affairs of Greece, Georgios Katrougkalos will sign tomorrow, 9 December, Protocol which stipulates the main directions of cooperation between Moldova and Greece for next year.
Also today, Moldovan delegation had a meeting with Hellenic Federation of Entrepreneurs, where the parties have exchanged information about business climates Moldova and Greece, opportunities of bilateral economic communities. At the meeting, Deputy Economics Minister Vitalie Iurcu, informed the representatives of Hellenic Federation of Entrepreneurs on advantages and investment incentives can provide Moldova to economic agents of Greece, including through Free Economic Zones and Industrial Parks, as well as changes in economic reforms, which are currently taking place in Moldova.
At his turn, Konstantinos Bitsios, executive vice president of the Hellenic Federation of Entrepreneurs, reiterated the interest of the business environment in Greece to expand economic cooperation with Moldova, initiate new investment projects, mutually beneficial to both Moldova and Greece. In this context, the parties agreed to organize during 2017 Business to Business common events, both in the Republic of Moldova and Greece.
