Moldovan foreign vice minister meets said high OSCE official

Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Foreign and European Integration, Lilian Darii, met today Henrik Villadsen, Director and Officer-in-Charge, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities (HCNM) on the sidelines of the 23rd meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which takes place in Hamburg, Germany, on 8 – 9 December 2016.
According to Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service, the two officials exchanged opinions on the subject of protection of rights of persons belonging to national minorities, in particular, the draft strategy on strengthening interethnic relations (2017 – 2027), document policy developed with the support of High Commissioner Office. Also, Deputy premier Darii thanked HCNM for support in developing the first action plan on strategy implementation.
At his part, Henrik Villadsen confirmed availability HCNM to provide assistance needed in promoting common objectives regarding the protection of persons belonging to national minorities encouraging, at the same time, the Moldovan authorities to persevere this direction.
