Moldovan anticorruption prosecutors conduct searches at Sculeni customs checkpoint

Chisinau, 13 December /MOLDPRES/- Anticorruption prosecutors and officers of the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA) conduct searches at the Sculeni customs checkpoint, some addresses in Ungheni and Chisinau. CNA press service head Angela Starinschi confirmed the information.
Measures are carried out in a corruption case and are focused on illegal actions of some customs employees. “Sculeni customs checkpoint is currently closed. For the time being, these are the details. More details will be given later,” Starinschi said.
In early November, 30 people were detained. It is about 14 customs officers, 3 border policemen, 6 operators and 7 drivers.
