Memorial complex to be inaugurated in Moldova in memory of Romanian rescue crew

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ – A memorial complex will be erected in memory of the four SMURD crew members of Romania, who lost their lives following the tragic plane crash on 02 June 2016, in Haragis village, Cantemir district, during a rescue mission in Moldova. The decision was adopted today by the Cabinet of Ministers, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The memorial complex will be built on land administration SILVA-SUD Agency Cahul-forestry fund, which is exactly the place where the accident occurred. Through this gesture, there are commemorated these true heroes who sacrificed their lives trying to save Moldovan citizens’ lives. The expenses for work of building the memorial complex will be covered from financial resources of donations and sponsorships.
Today, Cabinet decided to install a commemorative board of poetess Leonida Lari, important personality of our history and culture and a true patriot of this land. It will be installed on the facade of the building where the poetess lived, Nicolae Iorga Street No.7, Buiucani sector, Chisinau city.
