Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/- The Administration Council of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) announced to convene a public meeting on 20 December in order to consider a draft on approving price for electric power by Termoelectrica. The company requests to increase by 12.3 per cent the price, to 179.51 bani per 1 kilowatt-hour.
The last adjustment of rates for electricity by CET-1 and CET-2 was operated by ANRE in October 2011. The Termocom, CET-1 and CET-2 were reorganized in June 2016 and as a result Termoelectrica has been set up.
The enterprise administration explains the demand for energy price hike by rising costs, changes in gas tariffs, reduced production by 12.5 per cent, increased expenditure of operation activity etc.
Termoelectrica requested to adjust the tariff for heat supplied to consumers and prices for electric power production to the new conditions in August 2016. During a public meeting held in mid-September, ANRE decided to increase by 8.2 per cent heating tariff delivered to consumers. Termoelectrica asked a 27.4-per cent- increase, but after debates some expenses included in the price were lowered, and financial deviations were not taken into account.
ANRE representatives said they postponed approval of the decision on increase in production of electric and thermal energy received from Termoelectrica until the heating season started, and then would consider the costs submitted by the supplier of electricity and heat.
