Moldovan official journal roundup for 16 December

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/- The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development will provide Moldova with 12.58 million dollars to implement the project on modernizing tax administration, according to a loan agreement, which will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 16 December.
Under the document, the World Bank will grant two loans through the institutions: International Development Association, which will provide 5.3 million Special Drawing Rights and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which will earmark 12.58 million dollars.
The project is to be carried out by late 2021 and aims at reducing costs of fiscal administration, as well as improving services provided to taxpayers, counteracting corruption, preventing fraud and other tax administration issues.
The financing agreement between Moldova and International Development Association and the loan agreement with International Bank for Reconstruction and Development were signed on 28 June 2016, correspond to EU legislation and are part of the partnership strategy of the WB with Moldova for 2014-2017.
