Parents allowing children to go to entertainment places unaccompanied to be fined in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ – Parents, which permit children to go to entertainment areas without accompanying after 22.00, will be fined under the legislative changes of Administrative Code, that will be published on 16 December 2016 in Monitorul Oficial (Official Monitor).
According to the document, the admission of keeping persons who have not attained the age of 16 without accompaniment of parents or persons substituting for them in bars, cafes, restaurants, cinemas, discos, disco-clubs, nightclubs, saunas, steam rooms, Internet or other places of entertainment after 22.00 will be penalized with a fine of 60 to 90 conventional units (3000 – 4500 lei) for individuals and a fine of 90 to 180 conventional units (4500 – 9000 lei) to apply legal entity with deprivation of the right to carry out certain activities for a period of 3 to 6 months.
Also, consumption of alcohol in public places and selling them to minors will be penalized with a fine of 48 to 72 conventional units (2400 – 3600 lei) for individuals with a fine of 120 – 210 conventional units (6000 – 10500 lei) for legal entities with or without deprivation in both cases, the right to practice certain activities for a period of 3 to 12 months.
The changes will take effect within three months from the publication date.
