Moldovan PM attends Entrepreneurs Gala

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip on 15 December evening, attended the Entrepreneurs’ Gala, organized by the Moldovan Business People Association for the first time ever. On the occasion, the PM said he was honoured to participate in such a meeting, where the public is made only of business environment’s representative, as the development of the business environment is the basic priority of the cabinet, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
Pavel Filip said that, through its actions, the cabinet was trying to be as close as possible to the needs of the business environment, to ensure the best conditions for its development, as it is directly interested in stimulating investments and creating new jobs.
“The state must give you possibility to develop, invest and reinvest the profits you get. This would mean ensuring economic development and well-being of Moldova’s citizens. Only together we will manage to ensure the country’s economic growth,” the prime minister said.
In the context, Pavel Filip referred to the importance to maintain a permanent and open dialogue between the government and the business environment, in order efficiently overcome the obstacles faced by representatives of the business environment and consult their opinion on the vision concerning Moldova’s development.
The PM reminded, in this context, the very good cooperation with the Moldovan Business People Association, as well as the work of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister, as a platform which gives possibility to all the Moldovan and foreign business associations to get connected to working out policies in the sector.
„On the platform of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister, we have managed not only to discuss the problems faced by the business environment, but also to identify, by common agreement, solutions to overcome them. Following discussions in this format, draft laws and government decisions were elaborated, meant to improve the business environment,” the prime minister said. Pavel Filip highlighted, in particular, the regulatory reform, through which the number of bodies with control duties had been cut, as well as the reduction of the number of permissive acts needed by entrepreneurs to work.
The prime minister gave assurances that the government would further be open for a constructive cooperation with the business environment. He expressed confidence that the 2017 year would be a year of development and economic growth.
At the event, the entrepreneurs who made special progress in their work received awards. The action also had a charity goal, as money was raised to help Moldovan families in need.
Moldovan Business People Association is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, the aim of which is to back and improve the business environment.
