New leader of Socialists elected today

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/- Former Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanii was elected as a leader of the Party of Socialists (PSRM). The decision was taken by the faction's congress today.
Former leader of PSRM Igor Dodon submitted mandate, after on 13 November he won the presidential elections.
"We can solve the problems only in a united team. We have many challenges, and I am sure we will cope. We are streamlined to win the next parliamentary elections, and subsequently, by intense dialogue with society, we will develop projects on improving the situation in the country. We will make every effort not to disappoint you," Grecianii said.
Zinaida Greceanii was born on 7 February 1956. She is an economist. In 2000 she was appointed as Deputy Finance Minister and o 26 February 2002 is Finance Minister. On 31 March 2008 -14 September 2009 she served as Prime Minister of Moldova. Since 2009 she is MP. On 4 November 2011 she left the faction of Communists. Subsequently, she was elected as MP of PSRM during the parliamentary elections of November 2014, and later was appointed as leader of Socialists faction. She is married and has two children.
