Human resource policies approached at meeting of Moldovan intelligence service

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/- Management of selecting, training and promoting human resources was discussed at a meeting of the college of Security and Intelligence Service (SIS), held on 16 December 2016.

According to the SIS press service, rapporteurs presented the current situation in human resources sector, results recorded during one year, as well as deficiencies influencing the activity. Also, they reviewed the measures streamlined to optimize selecting, training and promoting human resources, as well as the efforts for strengthening the formation process of vocational skills in line with modern standards of intelligence services.

Another topic was related to the ongoing process of personal and professional development of employees, competitive human resource training able to anticipate developments of an unstable security environment and to efficiently act to prevent threats to the national security.

SIS Director Mihai Balan said “the human resource sector further remains a major concern in selecting candidates for employment and training within the National Institute of Information and Security. At the same time, the official highlighted the difficulties in attracting and keeping staff within the institution and insufficient professional and financial motivation. He asked for reviewing HR policies providing for clear benchmarks for career of intelligence officer, optimizing the selection system and increasing the attractiveness of work in this area”.

At the end of the meeting, SIS adopted a string of decisions on the most important problems, having proposals on their settlement.
