Moldovan parliament speaker condemns Ankara attack

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu today laid flowers at the Russian Embassy in Chisinau and stand silent for one minute in the memory of Russia’s Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov, assassinated on 19 December evening, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Andrian Candu condemned the Ankara attack and conveyed sincere condolences to the ambassador’s family.
“Moldova’s authorities and the Moldovan citizens condemn and regret such acts, which result in victims and we will do our utmost for such thinks to never happen in Moldova. We are by the side of the citizens and authorities of Russia and we will be with them in the common fight against terrorism,” the parliament speaker said.
Andrian Candu put down a message in the book of condolence opened at the Embassy of Russia in Chisinau.
