Moldovan energy regulatory agency announces new ceiling prices for petrol, diesel

Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ - The prices for the most demanded petrol Premium-95 will increase by 0.39 lei per one litre starting from 28 December, and the ones for diesel – by 0.26 lei per one litre. The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today set the ceiling selling price for the Premium-95 petrol at 17.36 lei for one litre and for diesel – at 15.17 lei for 28 December – 10 January.
This is the third period in a row when the prices for petrol and diesel rise significantly. On the previous period, the prices for the Premium-95 petrol increased by 4.1 per cent and for diesel – by 4.9 per cent.
The new prices for petrol and diesel will enter into force at midnight, when operators will have no right to sell fuels by retail at higher prices than the ones established by ANRE. The prices posted today on ANRE’s webpage will be valid for 14 calendar days.
ANRE has been applying the procedure of setting the ceiling selling prices for fuels beginning with last May, when prices of 16.21 lei for one litre of Premium-95 petrol and 13.83 lei for one litre of diesel were established.
