Moldovan cabinet to increase monthly allocation for children placed in family-type children's homes

Chisinau, 28 December /MOLDPRES/ - The monthly allocation for maintaining a child at the family-type children’s home will increase by 100 lei up to 750 lei starting from 1 January 2017, according to amendments made by the cabinet to a string of previous decisions.

The quantum of the monthly allocation to maintain a child in the service of professional parental assistance is increased up to 31 lei per day for one child.

The cost of the increases is estimated at over 480,000 lei. The money will be earmarked from financial means allocated to the budgets of local public administrations. The government assumed the support of families with children in the action plan on the implementation of the Moldova – European Union Association Agreement, as well as in other domestic and international documents it is party to.
