Moldovan citizen hurt in Istanbul terrorist attack

Chisinau, 2 January /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip today asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the Health Ministry to work closely with the institutions of Turkey for the aid necessary to ensure appropriate treatment of Moldovan citizen injured in the terrorist attack in Istanbul on the night of 31 December 2016, but also the necessary support to his family, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
Pavel Filip said that Moldovan authorities are in constant communication with the responsible institutions in Turkey and received assurances from Turkish counterpart that all needed efforts were taken to support the injured Moldovan citizen.
The prime minister stressed that Moldova strongly condemned that bloody act and was solidary with authorities of Turkey in their fight against terrorism.
"On behalf of the Government of Moldova, I express sincere condolences to the Turkish people. Please, convey our deep sympathy both to grieving families, as well as to the wounded ones, whom we wish a speedy and full recovery," reads the message signed by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.
