Moldovan MPs consider 10 motions on government activity

Chisinau, 5 January /MOLDPRES/- In 2016, the lawmakers considered 10 motions on the government activity, all of them were rejected by the parliament, according to data by the statistics of the legislative process for 2016, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
In 2016, 3 parliamentary hearings were organized following the request by MPs. Main issues were focused on the results of verification of subscription lists for holding constitutional referendum, measures to reduce the danger of flooding and support citizens who have suffered from them, feeding children at the preschool and educational institutions in the country. MPs asked the institutions and authorities in the field for information and set more proposals.
In 2016, under the legislation in force, the parliament received 20 activity reports from the public administration institutions and the ones under parliamentary control. It is about the Audiovisual Coordinating Council, Central Election Commission, Court of Accounts, National Centre for Personal Data Protection, Council on the Prevention and Elimination of Discrimination and Ensuring Equality, National Bank, National Integrity Commission, Competition Council, Superior Magistrates Council etc. Out of the 20 reports, 8 have been considered by the parliament.
The statistics of the legislative process show that in 2016, 6 special commissions and 3 working groups operated in the parliament.
