National programme for economic empowerment of youth extended to 2017 in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/ – Young entrepreneurs will benefit in 2017 both training and state funding for business ideas implementation. Cabinet of Ministers approved, at the meeting today, expanding national program of Economic Empowerment of Youth (PNAET) for one year more, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
For 2017, there are provided 20 million lei for allocation, resources that will allow supporting approximately 170 business ideas developed by young people. It was also amended the age limit for the potential beneficiaries of the program, from 30 to 35 years.
The National Programme for Economic Empowerment of Youth managed to establish itself as an effective model for supporting youth involvement in developing new business in Moldova. There were organized training courses for 4103 people and funded 1663 entrepreneurial business ideas, totaling over 477 million lei, out of which 189 million lei were offered as grants. Due to investments made there were created over 2413 new working places.
The National Programme for Economic Empowerment of Youth is implemented by the Organization for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises.
