Moldovan parliament to extend collaboration with civil society

Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ – Parliament extends its cooperation with civil society. The mechanism of cooperation was discussed today during the meeting of the subgroup I "Strengthening participation of civil society in drafting and monitoring of public policies implementation" to review the Strategy for Development of Civil Society, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported. 

Consequently, common activities of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and Legislative provide cooperation of monitoring and evaluation between the two parts, based on statistical reports of Parliamentary Committees. Also, if needed, there will be developed and adopted changes and amendments to the Concept of Cooperation between Parliament and civil society.

Another action, will consist cooperation activities between the parts, as well as the informative aspects. In this context, civil society representatives welcomed the opening of Parliament Territorial Information Offices in four regions of Moldova.

At the same meeting, the participants opted for the establishment in 2017, a structure/unit responsible for cooperation with civil society and the State Chancellery.

This is the fourth meeting of Subgroup I "Strengthening participation of civil society in drafting and monitoring of public policies implementation". Civil Society Development Strategy is to be reviewed by 01 February 2017.
