Vulcanesti customs checkpoint resumes activity

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/- The Vulcanesti customs checkpoint has resumed its activity and is operating as normal. At the same time, because of ice bridges across the Dniestre river, the activity of crossing checkpoints Soroca, Cosauti and Molovata remains suspended.

Spokesman of the Customs Service Cristina Rau noted that all the crossing points placed at border with Romania were operating as normal, only two customs posts with Ukraine were closed for the time being.

“To help participants in the cross-border traffic, drivers can follow online the activity of the customs posts through a special software (on boder.gov.md), which provides information on the average of waiting time at the crossing points,” Rau said.

Meteorologists announced for next days the air temperatures of – 13 degrees at night and +4 degrees during the day. Little snow is foreseen in some places.
