Moldovan theatre to present performance in Tiraspol on National Culture Day

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ – The National Theatre "Satiricus I. L. Caragiale" from Chisinau will present today, on the National Day of Culture, in Tiraspol performance "Ciuleandra" after Liviu Rebreanu directed by Alexandru Grecu, the People's Artist.
The event is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute "Mihai Eminescu" in Chisinau and will take place at the theatre "Nadezhda Aronetkaia" in Tiraspol.
According to theater critic Larisa Ungureanu, "Ciuleandra" is a multidimensional performance that evokes the force of destiny.
Contacted by the Agency, the artistic director and first director of the theater, Alexandru Grecu said that all tickets were sold, the performance due to be played in a packed hall.
Also today, at the National Library of Moldova on the National Day of Culture, it was inaugurated the exhibition "folk costume – patrimonial and spiritual value", images from the Collection Service collections of art and maps, and at the National Library for Children "Ion Creanga" – exhibition "Culture is the art elevated to a set of beliefs" and online contest "Get to know personalities".
The cultural activities devoted to this celebration were held throughout Moldova – in Cahul and Balti, Floresti, Causeni, Falesti, Hincesti, Soroca, Comrat, Cantemir etc.
The National Culture Day was established by a resolution of Parliament in April 2012 and aims to promote national culture, authentic cultural values and artistic personalities in the cultural field.
