Moldovan culture ministry organizes issue 2017 of annual awards gala

Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ – The Ministry of Culture organized on 16 January 2017, dedicated to the National Day of Culture, at the Palace of the Republic, the Annual Awards Gala issue 2017, given for the most representative creations in literature, theater, music, choreography, fine arts, library, restoration, preservation of cultural heritage and of museology, but also for the promotion of culture in mass media and management in culture in 2016.
The action follows the objective to support and promotion of creative capacities and improving people's of culture interpretative mastery in Moldova. The event was attended by the current edition winners and their guests, members of government officials, representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Moldova, guests of honour, men of culture.
During the ceremony, the Minister Culture Monica Babuc said that through that event, the Ministry of Culture came to initiate a very nice tradition to make the balance of the cultural year, awarding the winners of the most important areas of artistic life, of the national culture.
The official also referred to some of the main achievements of the ministry in the last year, noting the inclusion on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity element "Traditional techniques for achieving bark in Romania and Moldova," the restoration and re-opening of "Dadiani" headquarters of the National Museum of Arts of Moldova, launching restoration project of the church "Adormirea Maicii Domnului" (Assumption of the Virgin Mary) Causeni, supported by the Fund of Ambassadors for Cultural Preservation of the USA, etc.
The winners of the Ministry of Culture Awards of this year are: director Alexander Cozub; director Iurie Harmelin; writer Mihai Cimpoi; poet Iulian Filip; conductor of folk music Orchestra "Folclor" (Folklore), Petre Neamtu; instrumentalist Alex Calancea; painter Elena Karacenteva; director Valeriu Jereghi; District Director of the Museum of History and Ethnography of Edinet, Raisa Iarotchi; director of library "Vasile Alecsandri" in Telenesti, Maria Furdui; ballet dancer Anastasia Homitcaia; publicist Nicolae Roibu, reporter of the State Information Agency Moldpress; chief of culture department of Singerei, Valeriu Rusu and the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau.
There evolved actors of theatre "Alexei Mateevici" during the ceremony, such as: Margareta Nazarchevici and Nicolae Jelescu; theatre "Geneza Art", Daniela Burlaca and Iurie Gologan; singers Cristina Scarlat, Aurelia Chirtoaca, Silvia Goncear, Valeria Pasa, Natalia Tanasiuc, accompanied by folk music orchestra "Folclor" (Folklore) and the National Philharmonic "Sergei Lunchevici". A special moment of the event was the execution of sand drawings by painter Veronica Serovet, images that reflected the event themes.
