Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/- First-degree relatives of people post-mortem decorated with the Order of the Republic or Stefan cel Mare order will receive a 500-lei-allowance, under a legislative amendment, due to be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 20 January.

Under the document, wife/husband or mother/father of people post-mortem decorated with the Order of the Republic or Stefan cel Mare order have the right to the allowance for outstanding merits.

Thus, the allowance for outstanding merits is offered to the wife or husband, but in their absence – to one of parents of post-mortem decorated person. If parents are unable to work and in divorce, the amount is divided between them equally.

The provisions of the law were enforced on 1 September 2016.
