Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/ – The citizens who want to benefit from social assistance from the state will have to sign an agreement which assumes responsibility for use of social aid to families, according to legislative changes that will be published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Moldova.
The money will primarily be used to meet the needs for food, clothing, shelter, hygiene, medical care, education and compulsory schooling of children.
According to the document, the cooperation agreement will be signed with the direction or department of social assistance and family protection, which will set the social assistance or the one for the cold season of the year. For families with children at risk, the case manager is responsible for monitoring the use of aid under the agreement. In case of non-compliance, the beneficiary shall be deprived of the right to social assistance.
The social assistance and/or aid for the cold season is settled by means of the registered application form, filled in by a family member with full legal capacity. Similarly, the deadline for making a decision on granting or not granting the help will not exceed 15 working days.
The right to social assistance is determined on a request for a period not exceeding two years and will be reviewed at the occurrence of any changes that might influence the amount of social help established.
