Moldovan energy regulator sets new ceiling prices, petrol's price rises, diesel cheapens

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - The prices for the most demanded Premium-95 petrol will increase by 0.12 lei and the ones for diesel will drop by 0.05 lei starting from 25 January. The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today set the ceiling selling price of Premium-95 petrol at 18.11 lei per one litre and the one for diesel at 15.54 lei for 25 January – 7 February.
This is the fifth period in a row when the petrol’s price is rising. On the previous period, the prices for the Premium-95 petrol increased by 3.8 per cent.
The new prices for petrol and diesel will enter into force at midnight, when operators will no longer have right to sell fuels by retail at higher prices than established by ANRE. The prices posted on ANRE’s webpage today will be valid for 14 calendar days.
ANRE has been applying the procedure of setting the ceiling selling prices for fuels beginning with last May, when prices of 16.21 lei for one litre of Premium-95 petrol and 13.83 lei for one litre of diesel were established.
