Moldovan, Italian officials broach political ties

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Lilian Darii received today Ambassador Agréé of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Moldova Valeria Biagiotti, on the occasion of presenting the copies of her credentials letters, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media relations service has reported.
Deputy Minister Lilian Darii wished Ambassador Valeria Biagiotti success in exercising the mandate and ensured her of the full support of the Moldovan side.
The two officials expressed mutual interest in strengthening the bilateral political dialogue and deepening the cooperation within the framework of the Joint Declaration of the Foreign Ministers of the Republic of Moldova and the Italian Republic on bilateral cooperation for the implementation of Moldova – European Union Association Agreement. Deputy Minister Darii highly appreciated the support offered by Italy in the process of democratic, economic and social transformations in the Republic of Moldova. The Moldovan official also stressed the importance of boosting and diversifying the Moldovan – Italian economic relations and trade exchanges.
For her part, Ambassador Valeria Biagiotti assured the Moldovan official of the availability of the Italian authorities to further support the reform process in which our country is fully involved.
