Moldovan prime minister demands fast actions on simplifying procedure of vignette payment

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip raised the subject of vignettes on the issue of border crossing, at the beginning of today sitting of the Government. The prime minister said that in the current procedure that blocked access to customs and formed traffic jams at the border, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

However, the Head of Executive requested the Customs Service, Center for Electronic Governance, Ministry of Transports and Road Infrastructure, Ministry of Communications and the Interior Ministry to submit proposals for simplification of respective procedure and optimization of the border crossing time.

"I should like to ask the institutions in charge, within one week to come up with solutions. The vignette payment can be made at any petrol station or the Ministry of Transports and Road Infrastructure representative might be present at the customs post and take care of collecting these payments or as it is done all over the world, to be possible on-line payment of vignettes," the prime minister concluded.
