Hungarian Embassy to provide 30 budgetary education places to young Moldovans

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Embassy of Hungary in Moldova, in the 2017-2018 academic year, will provide Moldovans with 30 budgetary education places at universities from this country, within the Stipendium Ungaricum programme.
Ambassador of Hungary to Moldova Mátyás Szilágyi told a today’s news conference that the Hungarian authorities proposed Moldovan students 15 places for university degree, ten ones for training for master’s degree and five places to train for PhD’s degree.
“There are 25 universities in Hungary, which have 415 specialties. Young people have possibility to study in English, French and German. Persons willing to study in universities must be registered on the webpage of the Common Visa Application Centre at the Hungarian Embassy in Chisinau. Subsequently, the files will be submitted to Moldova’s Education Ministry. The deadline for sending the files is 5 March this year,” Szilágyi said.
The Hungarian government offers a monthly scholarship worth over 100 euros and additional payment to cover accommodation costs to young foreigners admitted to education. The Moldovan students studying in Hungary, in the last years, have asked mostly for such specialties as agriculture, nature study, engineering, international and European studies.
In 2016, the Hungarian Embassy in Moldova received about 40 applications from young Moldovans willing to continue their education at universities from Hungary, of whom only 20 students were selected and admitted.
