Moldovan parliament to marks 25 years of diplomatic relations between Moldova and USA

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ –Parliament will organize several activities during 2017, on the occasion of 25 years of diplomatic relations between Moldova and USA. About Moldovan – American domestic and bilateral agenda Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu discussed with the USA Ambassador to Moldova, James D. Pettit, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.  

"Our country has consistently been supported the American government and the people of America in democratic transformation, structural reforms and modernization," said Andrian Candu.

At his part, the U.S. Ambassador James D. Pettit announced that the Embassy was preparing a series of actions on the occasion of marking 25 years of diplomatic relations between Moldova and USA.

"We are honoured that for 25 years Moldova and the USA have come together in a strategic dialogue. We watch carefully the events in Moldova, appreciate what is good for Moldova citizens and we want Moldova to progress," US official said.

At the meeting, there were discussed issues related to legislative priorities for the spring session, Parliamentary agenda, and developments in the dialogue with Transnistria and Gagauzia, as well as the impact of the started reforms.
