Moldova, Spain mark 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ – On occasion of celebration of the 25th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between Moldova and Spain, Deputy Prime Minister, Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, sent a congratulatory message today to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain, Alfonso Dastis, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The message says that during the 25 years of diplomatic relations, the Moldovan – Spanish dialogue have manifested an increasing trend, being based upon respect and mutual support. Also, Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur expressed his gratitude to Spanish official for the assistance provided to Moldova during that period, and for support in the assumed reforms by signing the Association Agreement with the European Union.
The head of the Moldovan diplomacy gave assurances that Moldova would take further on efforts to deepen and advance gradual bilateral dialogue on a number of dimensions of major importance, directing an invitation to Spanish Foreign Minister to pay an official visit to Moldova at a convenient time.
Also today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain issued a press release of the Spanish Government to related to a quarter century of establishing diplomatic relations with Moldova.
Moldova established diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Spain on 31 January 1992.
