Joint Control Commission tackles issue of providing with pensions residents of two left bank of Dniester settlements

Chisinau, 03 February /MOLDPRES/ – On 02 February, it was held the regular meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) in Bender, headed by co – chairman of the Russian Federation delegation, with reference to Moldovan delegation in JCC.

The meeting agenda included 14 subjects, including: reviewing and approving reports Joint Military Command (CMI) on the situation in the Security Zone (ZS),  approval of the Combined Peacekeeping Forces activity for 2017, preparation by CMI of organizational measures to start celebration of 25 years of peacekeeping operation in ZS, under the Agreement terms on principles of peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in the Transnistrian region of Moldova from 21 July 1992.

At the same time, Moldovan delegation called on all JCC counterparts, especially Tiraspol representatives, to help resolve the problem faced by residents of villages Cocieri and Molovata Noua, Dubasari, which can not be provided postal and payment of pensions, because representatives of the so-called Transnistrian customs structures do not allow the means of transport of the state enterprise "Posta Moldovei", thus aggravating the socio – economic situation in those localities. Among the JCC co – chairmen, it was agreed to solve that issue by the next Commission meeting.

Also, considering the statistics of incidents documented during the recent period of time, there can be attested the existence of problematic situations in the Security Zone, artificially generated by Tiraspol representatives, such as replacing illegitimate positions of peacekeepers with the Transnistrian force structures, constant delay in taking over peacekeepers post № 9 on the left bank (bridge "Vadul lui Voda") by Moldovan side, modification of powers in activity of military commanders etc.

Unfortunately, on the listed issues both the Transnistrian side, as well as the Russian delegation expressed their inability to hold a constructive dialogue.

The Moldovan delegation will insist on maintaining their constant JCC agenda, till identifying the viable solutions to the mentioned issues.
