Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/ - The prices for the most demanded Premium-95 petrol will increase by 0.04 lei and the ones for diesel – by 0.13 lei starting from 8 February. The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today set the ceiling selling price of Premium-95 petrol at 18.15 lei per one litre and the price for diesel at 15.67 lei for 8-21 February.
It is the sixth time in the row that the petrol’s price is growing.
The new prices for petrol and diesel will enter into force at midnight, when operators will have no right to sell fuels by retail at higher prices than the ones established by ANRE. The prices posted on ANRE’s webpage today will be valid for 14 calendar days.
ANRE has been applying the procedure of setting the ceiling selling prices for fuels beginning with last May, when prices of 16.21 lei for one litre of Premium-95 petrol and 13.83 lei for one litre of diesel were established.
The BRENT oil prices jumped above 50 dollars for one barrel, reaching 55.9 dollars following the decrease on the first day of the week, amid concerns triggered by the overproduction of fuels. Some of the companies operating on this market are expecting data by the U.S. Department of Energy. The report on oil reserves will be made public on 8 February. Analysts forecast a rise in USA’s oil reserves by 2.5 million barrels the fifth week in a row.
