Moldovan state to earmark 1.4 million lei to veterans to construct, repair dwellings

Chisinau, 08 February /MOLDPRES/ – The government approved today a draft supplement to the judgment of 13 September 2010 that the participants in the battle and overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl accident to be awarded 1.44 million lei for construction or purchase of housing or restoring of old houses.

The total state support will benefit 33 people in 11 districts. The State Budget Law for 2017 provides single allowances for these purposes amounting to 7.8 million lei.

"The decision in question was drawn up under the Law on Veterans of 08 May 2003 which provides a number of measures of social protection of veterans and to create conditions that would ensure economic well-being and moral comfort, they would grant rights and additional facilities, including stipulating of allowances provided by law," the Ministry of Finance stated.
