Sweden reconfirms willingness to fully support Moldova's European agenda

Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/- Secretary General of the Foreign and European Integration Ministry Anatol Vangheli had a meeting with State Secretary to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Annika Söder on 9 February. His visit to Stockholm is occasioned by the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.
In the context, the officials approached issues related to bilateral cooperation, political dialogue, economic relations, as well as expanding bilateral legal framework.
Vangheli pointed out the good relations between Moldova and Sweden, and thanked for constant support of the country’s European integration by implementing projects on development assistance and promoting internal reform agenda.
Annika Söder reconfirmed Sweden’s willingness to fully back Moldova’s European agenda through programmes provided by the Eastern Partnership. At the end of the meeting, the official accepted the invitation to pay a visit to Chisinau to continue interministerial dialogue.
The visit’s agenda also included meetings with Director-General of Department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Stefan Gullgren and heads responsible for staff policy, budget and administrative management. They considered issues on bilateral agenda and mutual support within international organizations.
