Moldovan speaker asks Irish parliament for support in investment projects

Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/- Ireland has a unique experience in drawing foreign investments that could share with Moldova. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu made the statement at meetings with Senator Jerry Buttimer and his deputy Paul Cogblan. The meetings were held on the sidelines of the speaker’s visit to Ireland, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Candu said Moldova had more investment opportunities, and needed support for developing agriculture of performance, IT investment and financial sector. Candu invited Air Lingus and Ryan Air low cost companies to operate flights in Moldova.
The speaker had a meeting with Chairman of Committee on Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defence Dail Eireann, and called for support under the Irish experience in negotiations for the Transnistrian conflict settlement.
Irish lawmakers are to pay a visit to Moldova, following an invitation of Speaker Andrian Candu.
