Moldovan, Norwegian officials approach reforms, economic ties

Chisinau, 13 February /MOLDPRES/- Secretary General of the Foreign and European Integration Ministry Anatol Vangheli paid a working visit to Oslo, Norway, on 10-11 February. He had a meeting with Secretary General of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wegger Strømmen. It was aimed at achieving interministerial agenda and joined the actions dedicated to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Moldova and Norway, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.
The talks were focused on issues related to the bilateral relations via developing political dialogue, boosting economic relations, legal framework, situation in the region, as well as the mutual support within the international organizations. Also, the officials approached issues related to organizing, functioning and managing the foreign ministries.
Vangheli appreciated the good bilateral relations, and thanked for constant support provided by Norway in promoting reforms in Moldova in the European integration and implementing various projects for the country’s development in different areas of national interest.
Wegger Strømmen reconfirmed Norway’s support for the country’s European integration, as well as for the bilateral relations development. In this context, it was mentioned his visit to Chisinau scheduled for May 2017.
The visit’s agenda included other meetings with employees of Norwegian foreign ministry, focused on exchanging experience in the areas of managing and operating the foreign ministries of both countries.
