Moldovan deputy foreign minister meets Officer-in-charge of OSCE Office

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Lilian Darii met today with the Officer-in-charge of the OSCE Office of the High Commissioner on National Minorities (HCNM) Henrik Villadsen, who is paying a visit to the Republic of Moldova, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media relations service has reported.

The two officials exchanged views on the protection of persons belonging to national minorities, particularly on the Strategy on the Consolidation of Interethnic Relations 2017-2027, a policy document drawn up with the support of the Office of the High Commissioner. Deputy Minister Darii thanked the HCNM Office for the assistance in drafting the first Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy.

Henrik Villadsen confirmed HCNM’s readiness to render continuous assistance in order to promote the common goals of the protection of persons belonging to national minorities in the Republic of Moldova.
