Moldovan government provides excellence, nominal scholarships to candidates for doctor's degree

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/ – The Cabinet today approved Government Excellence Scholarship and Nominal Scholarship for PhD students on areas for 2017, the government's communication and protocol department has informed.

Thus, following a competition organized by the Academy of Science of Moldova, 20 students were selected for the Scholarship of Excellence, worth 2,500 lei, and 7 candidates were established as beneficiaries of nominal scholarships, 2,000 lei each. Priority candidates in the competition had higher average at doctorate exams, publications in specialized journals, authors of patents or participating in national and international conferences.

Contest of obtaining scholarships was held to motivate participants for research impact and publication of the obtained scientific results. Usual PhD scholarships constitute the average of one thousand lei.
