Moldovan foreign minister meets Swedish counterpart

Chisinau, 18 February /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, had a meeting with Margot Wallström, Foreign Minister of Sweden within the frames of the Security Conference in Munich, which is taking place these days, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
During the meeting, the officials exchanged opinions on the social and political situation in Moldova, the Transnistrian conflict settlement process, opportunities for intensification of bilateral political dialogue, including by means of high-level visits. Also, the Moldovan official reiterated the importance of support provided by Sweden in the democratic transformations, economic and social reforms in Moldova, expressing gratitude for assistance provided to Moldova's development.
At his turn, the Swedish minister confirmed his country's interest to continue to support Moldova in its reform agenda implementation and the process of European integration.
Both officials noted the symbolic year 2017 for bilateral relations and the celebration of 25 years of diplomatic relations.
