Moldovan president meets Qatari envoy

Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon today had a meeting with Qatari Ambassador to Moldova Mohammed Ali Al-Maliki, the presidential press service has reported.

The sides approached the development of the relations between the two states, as well as their perspectives.

Dodon said the opening of the Moldovan embassy in Doha and embassy of Qatari State in Chisinau had significantly boosted the bilateral cooperation.

In another context, the head of state welcomed the 20th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Moldova and Quatari State. The president opted for extending the sectorial cooperation, mainly in the areas of economy, investment, agri-food, energy and humanitarian.

“I am sure there is an enormous unused potential, especially in terms of economy and investment”, Dodon concluded.
