Moldovan foreign minister receives Italian ambassador to Moldova

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, received today the Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Moldova, Valeria Biagiotti. The meeting took place in the context of marking the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Moldova and Italy, which were established on 21 February 1992, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The interlocutors exchanged views on developments Moldovan – Italian relations, agenda of bilateral political dialogue and commercial – economic dimension.
The two officials expressed their joint interest in deepening cooperation under the Common Statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova and the Italian Republic on bilateral cooperation at implementation of the Moldova – European Union Association Agreement and appreciated the high level support provided by Italy in the process of democratic transformation, economic and social reforms in Moldova.
