Moldovan foreign minister meets head of EU Delegation in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today received Ambassador of the European Union to Moldova Pirkka Tapiola, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The sides discussed the stage of implementation of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union. In the context, Andrei Galbur highlighted the priority actions the government was set to carry out in 2017 and which concern the materialization of the European standards in concrete benefits for Moldova’s citizens.
“The European agenda is the principal line in the work of the Moldovan governance. We have worked a lot to re-establish the trust of the foreign partners and we want to strengthen these cooperation relations for the benefit of Moldova’s citizens,” Galbur said.
The sides also discussed details on the agenda of the European Union – Moldova events, scheduled for 2017, including a visit to Brussels by Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
In the end, the officials exchanged opinions on the latest developments in the Transnistria-related problems, including in the regional context.
