Moldovan agency to benefit from EU's 1.2 million euros to reform institution

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ – The Agency of Payments and Intervention for Agriculture (AIPA) will receive €1.2 million from European Union, within the Twinning project launched today in Chisinau, which provides reforming the institution and implementation of measures to support rural development, according to European standards.
The project will focus on three main components: AIPA restructuring – drafting the legal base and organizational structure in line with EU requirements, developing written procedures for all functions and tasks of relevant institution in administration of rural development measures in accordance with international principles and institutional capacity building.
Agriculture and Food Industry Minister, Eduard Grama, who attended the event, said the project would contribute to better management measures related to agriculture and rural development. "For this process stimulation, it is necessary the material stimulation of state investment and of course from the development partners. In this way, I want to thank the development partners, donor countries and the European Commission for all the support to our country," said Grama.
The program will be implemented over a period of 24 months, with the support of consortium consisting of Agrarmarkt Austria (Superior partner) State Intervention Fund for Agriculture (SZIF), Czech Republic and Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARMA), Poland (Junior partners).
