Francophone University Association organises conference on diplomacy in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari today attended a conference titled, Academic Diplomacy, organized by the Francophone University Association (AUF), under the patronage of the Foreign and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE).
According to MAEIE’s information and media communication service, the conference represented an event of inauguration of the Francophonie Days 2017 and was focused on subjects of international cooperation in the field of higher education, science and research. The event brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, business environment, teachers and students of the AUF member universities in Moldova. The event’s honorary guests were a diplomat and university professor at Università di Corsica - Pasquale Paoli, Fabien Flori, and the director of the regional office of the regional Bureau for Central and Eastern Europe of the Francophone University Association, Mohamed Ketata.
The Francophone University Association is the operator of the institutional Francophonie for the higher and research education and brings together over 800 universities from five continents. The AUF regional Bureau for Central and Eastern Europe, headquartered in Bucharest, comprises a network of 109 member universities from 24 countries, with the Chisinau-based representation coordinating AUF’s actions in Moldova and Ukraine.
